Our little June Bug had safe travels, got fed lots of food, and has had a lovely start to Christmas.
It's hard to tell whether any tiredness I've felt was due to June Bug or travel, so it kind of didn't matter. I slept when I could, and we managed just fine.
My appetite definitely went from 0-60 since leaving the States on December 2nd, and it's a nice state of being, especially at Christmas time!
Here's a shot of Bug in Heathrow on our way to Germany, when I thought s/he first popped out.
And then here's our family Christmas shot, 3 weeks later.
Here's to having everything being public knowledge - and here grows our little June Bug!

Roll call
There's been a bit of a name change around here, so we need to make sure everyone's straight here.
There's Mama, Papa, Paul, Ada, and newest to the bunch: June Bug.
"Lucky" wasn't cutting it; we were never using it. We've started telling friends about this new little one, and one friend asked when, of course, and then said, "Oh, a little June Bug, perfect!" Perfect, indeed.
A little update, too: bleeding has stopped as have the progesterone pills. Next official check-up is next Monday after Thanksgiving. Til then...

Healthy report!
We had a doctor's appointment with Dr. Nobles at East Jefferson hospital on Thursday since we were told last week by the ER to have a follow-up soon. I didn't have a doctor here, though! So Dylan did some searching and found 2 pro-life doctors at East Jeff, as we'll call it, and Dr. Nobles is going to be a great fit! He's quite old and, consequently, loves what he does since he could have long since retired by now. He's a bubbly native New Orleanean, and he sent us on our way with Bible verses. Come on - too cute.
The check-up went well. We had another ultrasound and even heard the heartbeat! That was the most reassuring sound because, let's call a spade a spade: we've been a little nervous as to whether there were anything left in that little black space on the monitor. Hearing the heart beating strongly was such a relief and seemed to grant us permission to actually be excited about this little Baby Lucky. There had been an air of don't-get-our-hopes-up since bleeding started last Thursday.
Whatever bleeding is still happening is not from the placenta or baby, and with many a shrug, I was told to take it a little easy. Dr. Nobles did prescribe me progesterone tablets, however, and said they'll help my levels anyway and may stop the bleeding. So here's hoping.

| Beautiful right? They're not up for grabbing the "cute shot" when they're looking for the source of weird bleeding, I guess. |

Lucky, indeed
Well, well, little Lucky #3. We're all feeling rather lucky (read: grateful) right about now after a bit of a scare. I sure hope our picking this little nickname doesn't mean we're going to have 8 more months of close-ish calls!
The four of us spent from 1-4pm in the ER today getting blood drawn and a couple of ultrasounds done because of 2 more bleeding episodes. Following Thursdays little bleeding episodes, Dylan and I got a little nervous and thought it'd be best to get checked out. Several minutes of hysterical-crying-made-to-look-like-nothing-for-the-children's-sake later, we arrived at the hospital, had great treatment from each nurse and the doctor, and were told that all looks well! Perhaps it's this, perhaps this, but in any case, lay low for a bit, rest up, and come back for a follow-up soon with my doc ... whom we've yet to find, but this puts a little fire under us!
Paul wanted to know why I was sad; we hadn't told him about the baby, yet, because he's 3, and 3 year olds blab. But, I thought it was important at this particular moment in case he wouldn't get to meet Lucky. He gasped and smiled and said, "I like babies! I like 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 babies!" "One at a time," I laughed. "Maybe God gave us a baby in your belly?! Nice."
Not exactly what we had in mind for Halloween, but at the end of the day, we're so happy for the way things went, of course! We've said lots of prayers together today.
I said 1-4pm; you know what time that usually is, right:

Knoll #3
Welcome, new little one! We officially found out about you last Thursday, October 15, 2015, though we had a hunch. We love you already, and I think you're in for a wild ride with us.
Aren't you our Lucky #3!
You won't have to share a birthday with your brother, Paul, and sister, Adeline, on January 25th ... but you might have to share it with Papa because we've calculated one of your due dates to be June 29th - we love sharing!
