Last week and the first half of this one have been great. It's felt good to get a bunch ready and done before JuneBug, albeit after a bit of a piano fiasco that jumped up on us last Thursday (see below). Dylan well made up for the stress he induced with that (love ya!) with all of the hard work over the weekend; we (ahem,
he) scratched tons off of our mutual and my personal to-do lists, which helps me feel de-cluttered and organized enough to bring this little bébé home. Nesting at its finest / most-annoying. I've slowed down tons, too, quite literally in my pace and figuratively by way of opting out of things I'm normally up for, but I haven't been able to push through in quite the same way as I (think I) did with the others. Dylan reminds me, though, that with #1 "Pea", I was working, yes, but I came home at 4 and relaxed until bed
everyday; and with #2 "Bee", I had toddler Paul, yes, but it was winter in MN so activity was limited for me. So, taking that into consideration, I guess I
am doing a bunch with the 2 kiddos + neighborhood activities (to which we walk) and all the normal upkeep. Anyway, all that being said, I'm definitely feeling tired and, to be honest, am looking forward to the having of the newborn in a way that is new to me. Not that I didn't love my first 2 newbies, but I also really loved pregnancy with them; this time's been a bit more of a challenge come that 3rd trimester mark, so perhaps early postpartum+newborn time won't be as hard ... maybe?
In other news, these rascals and I had fun this week playing all sorts of random things (since I haven't been as quick to run out for playgrounds, walks, events, etc). See the rest of it in photos =) :

Then this happened on a whim; someone was giving it away, so Dylan thought it imperative for us. Yes, I know a piano would be a good thing for the kids to explore, and I know they're otherwise expensive, yada yada, yada. 3 months ago, fine, 3 months from now, fine. It was just funny timing.
But -
they love it (duh). The kids have played everyday, multiple times a day, so I guess it was worth the non-nesting stress...
Birthday party jump-jumps. Paul adored them, and Ada wanted nothing to do with "those things".

A reminder that these are 1/2 Aussie kids. Afternoon cuppas are a must. |

JUNE BUG! It's June 1st and, therefore, BABY MONTH. Technically 36w5d at today's appointment and weighing mom in at 132lbs, in good position, growing well, and doing just what needs doing. Except the poking me part and the straining my right-side ligament part. Otherwise, we're a good team. Pretty ready to meet this little one. It's funny to think that this kid's birthday is on the calendar already ... we just don't know when it is!
