Healthy report!

We had a doctor's appointment with Dr. Nobles at East Jefferson hospital on Thursday since we were told last week by the ER to have a follow-up soon. I didn't have a doctor here, though! So Dylan did some searching and found 2 pro-life doctors at East Jeff, as we'll call it, and Dr. Nobles is going to be a great fit! He's quite old and, consequently, loves what he does since he could have long since retired by now. He's a bubbly native New Orleanean, and he sent us on our way with Bible verses. Come on - too cute.

The check-up went well. We had another ultrasound and even heard the heartbeat! That was the most reassuring sound because, let's call a spade a spade: we've been a little nervous as to whether there were anything left in that little black space on the monitor. Hearing the heart beating strongly was such a relief and seemed to grant us permission to actually be excited about this little Baby Lucky. There had been an air of don't-get-our-hopes-up since bleeding started last Thursday.

Whatever bleeding is still happening is not from the placenta or baby, and with many a shrug, I was told to take it a little easy. Dr. Nobles did prescribe me progesterone tablets, however, and said they'll help my levels anyway and may stop the bleeding. So here's hoping.
Beautiful right? They're not up for grabbing the "cute shot"
when they're looking for the source of weird bleeding, I guess.
