Well, well, little Lucky #3. We're all feeling rather lucky (read: grateful) right about now after a bit of a scare. I sure hope our picking this little nickname doesn't mean we're going to have 8 more months of close-ish calls!
The four of us spent from 1-4pm in the ER today getting blood drawn and a couple of ultrasounds done because of 2 more bleeding episodes. Following Thursdays little bleeding episodes, Dylan and I got a little nervous and thought it'd be best to get checked out. Several minutes of hysterical-crying-made-to-look-like-nothing-for-the-children's-sake later, we arrived at the hospital, had great treatment from each nurse and the doctor, and were told that all looks well! Perhaps it's this, perhaps this, but in any case, lay low for a bit, rest up, and come back for a follow-up soon with my doc ... whom we've yet to find, but this puts a little fire under us!
Paul wanted to know why I was sad; we hadn't told him about the baby, yet, because he's 3, and 3 year olds blab. But, I thought it was important at this particular moment in case he wouldn't get to meet Lucky. He gasped and smiled and said, "I like babies! I like 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 babies!" "One at a time," I laughed. "Maybe God gave us a baby in your belly?! Nice."
Not exactly what we had in mind for Halloween, but at the end of the day, we're so happy for the way things went, of course! We've said lots of prayers together today.
I said 1-4pm; you know what time that usually is, right:

Lucky baby for such a good family with awesome siblings that will love him/her. :)
